Grass type in high grass area: Tall fescue + Bluegrass

Our test area is 2x5m2, where there is large area of Bentgrass. The above image show the actual turf lawn condition before the test. The mowing height in high grass area is about 3cm. Considering the bentgrass is large plant, and is distributing wide area, our application rate of Tenacity is 0.6L/ha and water volume is 600L, also add with silicon additives. The weather is cloudy that day, and there is no rain 4 hours after spraying.
5 days after application (2014 April 20th).
Looks from a distance, the turf lawn has no difference with the previous. But when you take a closer look(see the picture below), you can find the fresh tips of bentgrass start to show white color.
9 days after application (2014 April 24th). Leaf blade of bentgrass is gradually whitening. Purple nutsedge in turf also show serious white color and turn death gradually.

9 days after application, leaf blade of Purple nutsedge is all white. We will continue to check the change.
Summary: usually 5-7 days after the application of Tenacity, the tips of weeds will show white color. For now, we’ve get the desired effect from the test. Lead blade of targeted bentgrass is gradually showing white color. Although there is also some whitening appearance in Tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass, Tenacity is still relatively safe.
